  • Conduct research of interactive distributed systems software architecture, computer supported collaboration, computing in public spaces, and digital humanities.
  • Promote and support application of advanced computing techniques and technology in research efforts across the LSU campus.
  • Obtain external funding for research activities. Facilitate cross-disciplinary collaboration.
  • Computational lead for CCT collaboration in Digital Humanities.

Postdoctoral Researcher, CCT April 2008 – December 2012

  • Co-supervise CCT Tangible Visualization Group. Conduct and supervise research, grant proposals, budgeting, purchasing, and student evaluation. Research and develop technology for interactive computational science, including design and development of technology toward an interactive research cluster. Develop tangible interfaces and software for scientific visualization and educational applications.
  • Perform research, and develop software systems and interaction devices for management and production of computer music, supporting visualizations, and other digital media technology for the AVATAR program.
  • Develop new software architectures and interaction devices for scientific visualization, embedded systems, computational STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics), multi-touch devices, and video games.
